This will be the ninth year we have held 'Music in the Gardens' at the Waipahihi Botanical Reserve. The programme features outstanding local talent and a selection of styles - Taupo Concert Band, Taupo Brass Band, a string orchestra, bagpipes, and students from Taupo School of Music will perform for us. Also - nature activities for children organised by Kids Greening Taupo, and a sausage sizzle. Bring a rug or chair (some seating available), a picnic, and family and friends. Parking on Shepherd Road and Hyde Avenue. If a short walk is difficult, there is parking near the performance area beside the main building. This is a free event but donations are welcome.

The AGM of the Waipahihi Botanical Society is a chance to see what progress has been made during the last year, and any issues can be discussed. Part of the meeting is set aside for the election of board members and management roles. All are welcome, held in the meeting room adjacent to the workshops in the gardens.Date: Sun 29 Mar 2026
